What You Need to Make Simple Homemade Granola
Homemade granola is easy to whip up with just a few simple kitchen tools:
Baking sheet – I like to use stainless steel baking sheets
Wooden spatula
Large mixing bowl
Small mixing bowl
Wire whisk
Parchment paper
Wire rack for cooling
Ingredients

Old-fashioned oats – I always look for organic old-fashioned oats.
Shredded coconut – finely shredded, unsweetened coconut if possible.
Chopped pecans or walnuts – toasted nuts add depth of flavor and a wholesome crunch.
Coconut oil, melted – coconut oil brings the glaze together and helps the granola develop a toasted crunch.
Honey – honey adds sweetness and helps the granola bake into delicious clusters.
Brown sugar – the brown sugar caramelizes when toasted to add a delicious sweetness.
Vanilla extract – a little vanilla extract compliments the nutty toasted flavors.
Cinnamon – cinnamon adds the perfect amount of spice to compliment the sweetness.
